On the ground

We bring responsible-mining and clean-energy practice from three continents to isolated Amazonian camps.

Everything we do is designed to be adopted with the equipment, materials, and skills a remote camp already has — proven in the field, then handed to the miners to run and to teach. It comes down to four moves.

01 — Recovery

Get the gold with gravity, not mercury.

We adapt proven, chemical-free processing — like the methods practiced in Canada's Yukon — to local conditions, centered on gravity separation. Coarse classification of the material and correct sluice angles and riffles capture the fine gold that legacy setups wash away. Tools like the Clarkson rod mill bring efficient, Amazon-compatible gold finishing into the jungle.

02 — Retrofit

Upgrade the gear they already run.

We source and build recovery equipment suited to remote mining and its legacy hardware. A legacy hardwood sluice box performs beautifully with the right riffle-and-mat layering and proper leveling — no imported machine required. In Mahdia, workers extended a sluice by 40 meters to cut fine-gold losses. Retrofit beats replacement when you're a day's travel from the nearest town.

03 — Renewables

Displace the diesel.

Mining camps run on trucked-in diesel. We supplement that fossil-fueled generation with solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and battery energy storage (BESS), beginning with the everyday electrification of the work-camp. Less diesel means lower running costs, cleaner air, and a lighter footprint in some of the most biodiverse country on Earth.

04 — Rehabilitation

Give the land a second life.

Mined-out sites are too often left bare and toxic. We spread reclamation techniques suited to topsoil-less conditions, drawing on real successes nearby — like the site in St. Elizabeth reclaimed by the Guyana Geology & Mines Commission. Restoration turns environmental compliance from a cost into lasting value for the community.

Our workshops were met with strong receptivity in Suriname — and because equipment and practices are shared across South America, what's learned in one camp travels to the next.

Every miner we train becomes a teacher. We also work with gold-shop owners on mercury-vapor recovery, opening the program with a live, working example.
